Okta Discovery
Okta Discovery connects Okta to XFA so you can discover devices associated with your organization. Once connected, XFA uses Okta data to improve device visibility and prepare those devices for reporting, Awareness messages, or Enforcement. Use it to connect the source and confirm devices appear in XFA.
To add a connection, open the Discovery page and select + New, then choose Okta and select Continue. You are taken to the Okta setup page, where you connect from Step 1. The steps below then apply. Discovery reads the devices in your organization from the connected identity provider.
Step 1: Getting Started with Device Discovery
To begin the device discovery process in your Okta environment, navigate to the XFA dashboard. Under Discovery, you will see an option to discover devices in multiple environments. Choose Discover devices in Okta as shown below.

Step 2: Create the XFA Discovery API Service Integration in Okta Admin Console
- Log in to your Okta Admin Console.
- Navigate to API Service Integrations and click on Add Integration.
- Select XFA Discovery from the list of available integrations.
- Authorize the integration by clicking on Authorize.

- Copy the Okta Domain, Client ID, and Client Secret from the integration settings page.
Step 3: Finish the Configuration in XFA Dashboard
After selecting Discover devices in Okta, you will be prompted to enter the Okta Domain, Client ID, and Client Secret that you copied earlier. Click on Save to proceed.
