Notifications & reports
This page covers the emails XFA sends to you as an administrator, and the security reports XFA produces for your organization. For the Awareness emails XFA sends to your users, such as device risk alerts, verification requests and onboarding invites, see Awareness.
Your notification preferences
Each administrator chooses which emails they receive. In the XFA dashboard, open Organization in the left navigation and go to the Notifications tab.
Under Email, turn each type on or off:
- Reporting: reporting emails about your organization.
- Marketing: product news and marketing.
- Product updates: new and changed features.
- Product assistance: onboarding and help with using XFA.
Under Admin preview, turn on Device at risk to receive a copy of the device risk emails as your users receive them.
XFA may still email you important information about your account, whatever these settings are.
Security reports
PDF report
Download the report at any time with the PDF report button on the Statistics page. It contains:
- A device security health overview: how many devices are safe, unsafe, or missing information, with the split between managed and unmanaged devices.
- A device checks breakdown: for each device check, such as OS up to date, disk encryption, screen lock, antivirus or firewall, how many devices pass, fail, or are not yet verified.
- A Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures section: devices susceptible to data breaches (unencrypted), prone to phishing (out-of-date browser), and vulnerable to ransomware (out-of-date operating system).
XFA builds the report once a day. Right after you create your organization, the first report may not exist yet; the dashboard then says Report not available. Try again the next day.
Weekly report email
Every Monday morning, XFA can email a weekly security report for your organization. It shows how many devices comply with your default policy, and how that changed since the previous week. If you use Enforcement, it also counts the sign-ins XFA checked that week, successful and blocked. It ends with up to three recommendations, such as turning on a check, moving a check from warning to blocking, or adding an application to Enforcement.
To receive the weekly report, turn on Reporting under Organization > Notifications > Email. Turn it off to stop reporting emails, including the weekly report.
