Verification methods
When you sign in, XFA may ask you to verify that it's really you. Your organization decides which methods you can use. This page explains each method and how to switch between them.
The methods
| Method | What you do | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| XFA Silent MFA | Nothing, on a device you trusted. You approve a new device in the XFA App or by email | Desktop application, Mobile app |
| Authenticator App | Enter a 6-digit code from an app such as Google Authenticator | TOTP authentication |
| Passkey | Confirm with your fingerprint, face or screen lock | Passkeys |
Choosing a method
If more than one method is available, XFA shows Choose verification method. Select a method and click Continue. Your browser remembers your choice and goes straight to that method next time.
In the XFA mobile app, tap the method you want to use.
If you have already set up a method, XFA may take you straight to it.
Switching between methods
On the verification screen, click Set one up, next to Want to use a different method?. In the XFA mobile app, tap Use a different method.
Need help?
If you can't use any of your methods, for example after losing your phone, contact your IT help desk. They can reset your MFA.
